Environmental Leadership & Building Technology Intern
Immediate Internship Available
We are seeking a rigourous and creative thinker to work with us to further develop our environmental policies, procedures, tools, and systems. Candidate must possess the ability to make sense of disparate data and create conceptual models that communicate that data to others. The environmental building technology intern will:

Develop a framework for analyzing the sustainability for every project.

Research, quantify, and document the environmental impact all LivingHomes projects.

Research new sustainable and healthy building materials, technology, and systems, and make recommendations about which products to incorporate into the LivingHomes product line.

Analyze rating systems such as LEED for Homes and make recommendations about which sustainable features should be included in LivingHomes' product line.

Gain real-world experience in data analysis and its application to product development.
Prior experience with quantitative analysis, conceptual model development, and / or novel thinking - from any field - is highly desirable. Other desirable skills, traits, and experience are:

Some college - preferably in environmental science or building technology.

Strong research habits. Understanding of how to use library resources, trade publications, interviews, and the Internet to gain a good understanding of new sustainable technologies.

Logical thinker who likes using diagrams, charts, and illustrations to communicate.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision. Self-directed, resourceful, and goal oriented.

Should be interested in technology and science; perhaps a self-described "science geek."

Interest in architecture, design, construction, or manufacturing is helpful.
This internship is UNPAID.
